Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 25, 2026

This policy explains what data is and is not processed when you use ThumbnailPro (thumbnailpro.net), and which third-party services may be involved. ThumbnailPro is designed to minimize data collection: the tools themselves run entirely in your browser.

1. Tool inputs are processed locally

Links you paste into the downloader, values you type into the calculators, and — importantly — images you upload to the thumbnail tester or safe-area checker are processed by JavaScript running on your own device. Uploaded images are never transmitted to ThumbnailPro's servers: this site has no upload endpoint. Closing the page discards them. One nuance to be transparent about: when you use the downloader (or pull a video's thumbnail into the tester), your own browser requests the thumbnail images directly from YouTube's image server (img.youtube.com), exactly as it would while browsing YouTube — that request is between your browser and Google, subject to Google's privacy policy, and never passes through us. Analytics events, where enabled (see section 4), never include the links you pasted, the images you loaded, or the results you received.

2. Technical hosting data

ThumbnailPro is hosted on Vercel. Like virtually all web hosting, serving pages involves processing technical request data such as your IP address, browser user-agent, and requested URLs, which may appear in short-lived infrastructure logs used for security, abuse prevention, and operations. This processing is performed by the hosting provider as part of delivering the site. See Vercel's privacy policy for details of their practices.

3. Cookies and consent

The ThumbnailPro site itself does not set cookies for the tools to work, and no advertising or analytics cookies are set unless and until those services are enabled and, where required, you have made an applicable consent choice. If advertising or analytics are activated in your region, a consent-management dialog will govern which optional technologies may run, and you will be able to revoke your choice at any time through the same mechanism.

4. Analytics data

ThumbnailPro may use an analytics service (such as Google Analytics 4 or Vercel Web Analytics) to understand aggregate usage — for example, which tools are visited and whether errors occur. Where analytics are active, they are limited to coarse interaction events (such as "a lookup completed" or "a validation error was shown") and never include the video links you pasted, the images you uploaded, or the values you typed. Analytics identifiers and cookies, where used, are subject to the consent choices described in section 3.

5. Advertising data

ThumbnailPro may display advertising provided by Google AdSense to fund free tools. When ads are active, Google and its partners may process technical data (such as IP address and page context) and, depending on your consent choices, may use cookies or similar technologies to select and measure ads. Where consent rules apply, personalized advertising runs only after an applicable consent choice; non-personalized options are used otherwise. For details, see Google's advertising policies and Google's privacy policy. Ad blockers do not affect the functioning of ThumbnailPro tools.

6. Third-party services

Depending on configuration, the following categories of third parties may be involved:

  • Vercel — hosting and content delivery (always).
  • YouTube / Google image servers — your browser fetches thumbnail images directly from img.youtube.com when you use the downloader or pull a thumbnail into the tester (only when you initiate a lookup).
  • Google AdSense — advertising (only when enabled).
  • Analytics provider — aggregate usage measurement (only when enabled).
  • Consent-management platform — records consent choices (only when advertising/analytics requiring consent are enabled).

ThumbnailPro does not sell personal information and does not operate accounts, profiles, or user databases.

7. Data retention

ThumbnailPro itself retains no user-entered data — there is nothing to retain, because tool inputs and uploaded images never reach our servers. Technical logs held by the hosting provider, and any analytics or advertising data held by the providers above, are retained according to those providers' published retention policies. Consent choices are stored in your browser and/or by the consent-management platform for the period required to honor them.

8. Your rights and contact

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because ThumbnailPro holds no user-entered data, most such requests will concern the third-party services listed above; we will point you to the correct controller and assist where we can. To exercise rights or ask questions about this policy, use the details on the contact page.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated as services are enabled or changed — for example, when advertising, analytics, or consent management goes live. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
